The Australian Academy of Nursing Offers:
PPOQN (Pre-Registration Program for Overseas Qualified Nurses) CRICOS CODE 063020G
The PPOQN is an 11-week non-award course that leads to registration as a Division 1 Nurse with the Nurses Board of Victoria (NBV). The program contains both theoretical and clinical components and is delivered by the Australian Academy of Nursing through its association with The University of Ballarat.
The three-week theoretical and laboratory component of this program is delivered in the AAON campus in Melbourne. The eight-week clinical component is delivered in both Sydney and Melbourne so students may be placed either in Sydney or Melbourne. There are no more than eight students per Clinical Facilitator.
Students participating in the PPOQN course are either overseas-qualified nurses or domestic re-entry nurses who are taught in small groups. This allows for maximised learning and support given the short duration of the course.Go to AAON Website (http://www.aaon.com.au) to read more.
